‘Street Dreams’ – finding hope in darkness

‘Street Dreams’ is a documentary about the lives of young women in the sex trade in SE Asia. Unlike much documentary fare it focuses on the people behind the issue – the women. It does this by finding out about the women’s childhood dreams and aspirations.

This device – taking the audience beyond stereotypes and politics – invests their stories with dignity and poignancy.

The film by documentary makers Mike Crowhurst and Jason Bray is featured on the Surprize website – a site set up to help fund film and arts projects by independent donation. Red Earth, Crowhurst and Bray’s company is aiming to raise $13,500 to get the film made by 15th April. So, if you have a hankering to be an investor in the film industry and to help bring some light into the darkness of an insidious business trading in human lives then make an investment by contacting Red Earth via:
